Meet Our Teachers

"As teachers, you kindle in your students a thirst for truth and wisdom." ~St. John Paul II

Miss Biz

Hi! My name is Elizabeth Arnold, though most people (big and small!) know me as Miss Biz. I’ve been teaching preschool for 16 wonderful years. Every day, I’m reminded why I love what I do. I believe that children learn best through meaningful play and connections-when they feel safe, seen, and supported, they thrive. My classroom is a space where curiosity is encouraged, creativity is celebrated, and every child is valued just as they are.

I attended college and took courses through Eastern Nazarene College, studying Early Childhood Education. Most recently I obtained my Director I certification, which I believe has deepened my understanding of how to support both children and their families in these formative years.

Outside the classroom, I’ve been happily married to my husband, Patrick, for almost 10 years. We have two amazing kids – Mac and Florence Joy – who keep us laughing and learning at home, along with our sweet dog, Buttercup. I’m so honored to be a part of the St. Pius X School family and to partner with families during such an important season in their child’s development. Preschool is a magical time, and I’m so grateful to be a part of it!

Miss Christina

Although the St. Pius School Pre-K 3 program is new, the teachers are not. We have been doing this for years and are excited to bring even younger kids into the St. Pius X School community to welcome them at an early age and make the transition into school that much easier.  They will start their education, learning all the important social emotional skills, while still being known, valued and loved as a child of God while starting their educational path in the St. Pius X School.

And we always like to say our class is a family, so by the end they will know and feel this. So throughout the year, knowing what their jobs are, their responsibilities, and getting to learn, not only some independence and self-help skills, but what is expected in a school setting, such as when is the time to chat with friends and when is the time to listen.  Your teachers are super excited to get your classroom ready to meet everyone and to have a great year together.
