Dear Parents,

I cannot believe that we have 8 days left to our very unusual school year! It has been an interesting, ever changing year but in spite of it all your children have grown academically, emotionally and socially. They are a very sweet and resilient group of children. We have had a lot of fun and laughter learning and growing together. It has been a wonderful experience being their teachers this year. As I said before, they will hold a special place in our hearts and we will miss seeing their smiling faces every day.

We have a few fun things planned for our last 8 days together. Hopefully, we will have good weather so that we can spend a good amount of time outside, mask free! I know it is a little cool in the morning so I suggest having your child wear gym shorts under his/her sweatpants. Then when it warms up the sweatpants can be removed. Also, please send in a sweatshirt or light jacket. Sometimes it can be breezy and cool in the playground area. Our themes are Summer on Cape Cod and Celebrating Families.

Even though the CDC’s and State guidelines and restrictions have changed, our End of the Year Celebration will still be posted on Seesaw.  There are a lot of school activities going on for different grade levels so it is less confusing for all of us. At this grade level is it best to stick with our routine and what everyone is used to. Amanda Phenix and Meredith Puzio will be contacting you about special treats for our End of the Year Celebration. Thank you in advance for your generosity.

I hope you have all enjoyed seeing the postings of our daily and special events on Seesaw. We found it to be a very useful tool and a fun way to stay connected with all of you. You actually saw more daily activities and pictures of your children in action than you normally would have had  we had our regular school year. A positive thing about our restrictions!

We hope you all have a fun, relaxing and safe summer. Enjoy much needed time with family and friends. Stay safe and healthy!

Thank you for a great year!

God Bless you and your families.

Sincerely,

Maryann Tremblay and Breanna Powell
