In our ministry at Saint Pius X School, the Eucharistic community of Saint Pius X Parish under the leadership of Father Bellenoit, our Advisory Board, staff, students and parents come together to share their gifts, their talents, their uniqueness and our vision that our school community respects the richness and diversity of our community and dedicate ourselves to the philosophy of Saint Pius X, "Let the children come to me."
In our togetherness we can do much more than any one of us can do alone. We minister together and we celebrate together. We see God in each other and it is through God that we love one another, and minister, and celebrate.
"Let the children come to me.” As a child, Giuseppe Sarto read the scripture. He thought a lot about these words. He though about parishes filled with children. In 1903, Giuseppe Sarto became Pope Pius X and his dream about educating the children became a reality. He encouraged change in church custom, allowing children as young as seven, to receive the Eucharist. The staff models itself after the ministry of Pope Pius X.
The staff of Saint Pius X School works with our students to allow them to grow spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, and socially. It is our staff’s ministry, not our job!
One of the goals of Saint Pius X School is to keep the Gospel message of Jesus and the philosophy of Saint Pius X alive today and into the future. Love and respect for one another, adaptability, and open communication are our strength.
The faculty and parents embrace education and provide our students, wherever and whenever possible, with the educational tools and technology which are necessary for them to successfully accept the challenges of this century. We believe that each child is a gift of God and is unique in his/her giftedness. We encourage each child to use his/her talents to the fullest.
Therefore, we are committed to developing in our students a strong Catholic foundation upon which they will build, so that they become role models and leaders of the 21st Century. "Through these doors pass our greatest gifts ... God's children."
